JESUS’
KINGDOM INCARNATION
Jesus Himself is the incarnation of the kingdom. The
kingdom of God is the purpose for which God has called the church. Jesus used
several parables to emphasize the importance of the Kingdom of God. The Kingdom
of God should be central in the preaching and teaching of the church. The local
church is not the kingdom. The local church is the means to the Kingdom of God,
not the end itself.
In the first
chapter of John, he tells us that Jesus came to tabernacle with us. The
incarnation was a great sacrifice on the part of Jesus because He divested
Himself of His majesty. He stoops down to our level so that He could save us.
