MY THIRD BOOK
My name is Kennedy
Ahenkora Adarkwa. I was born in Obogu, Ashanti Akim, Ghana. I had my Elementary
and Technical education in Ghana. However, I had my undergraduate and
postgraduate education in the United States of America. The purpose of this
video presentation is to solicit your indulgence to promote my third book,
titled The Anointing of God: Is it for a Select Few? Copies of the book
can be purchased at Amazon.com. The book consists of nine chapters.
1.
In
the first chapter, I deal with The History of the Practice of Anointing. In
Chapter 1, we will discover that anointing did not originate from the Hebrew
people.
2.
The
second chapter highlights The Meaning and Practice of anointing in the Old
Testament. In this chapter, we examine the anointing of the first king of Israel---King
Saul
3.
Chapter
three focuses on the choice of David and its ramifications: the anointing of
the second king of Israel.
4.
In
chapter four the attention is set on Solomon, the third king of Israel. The
book does not gloss over the shortcomings of these kings despite their
anointing.
5.
Chapter five shifts attention from the
Monarchs to the anointing of the prophets. Among the prophets, I selected
Elijah, the most prominent prophet in the Old Testament.
6.
Chapter
six explores the anointing of the prophet Elisha. Elisha requested a double
portion of the anointing of Elijah before God took the latter home.
7.
Chapter
Seven makes a transition from the Old Testament to the New Testament. The
emphasis of this chapter is placed on the Ultimate Anointing: the anointing of
Jesus.
8.
Chapter
eight poses a question which is the gist of the book, “Are all Christians
anointed?”
9.
Chapter
nine postulates that some preachers and Christian leaders contradict the biblical
revelation of anointing.
You must purchase
a copy of the book to find the biblical answer to the gist of the book. The
book has been written with the laity in mind. However, scholars will also
