9/11 is a date that is
etched in my memory. I was getting ready to attend my doctoral seminar when my
wife called and told me to turn on the TV. I couldn't believe what I was
hearing and seeing on the TV that day. I watched and got ready to attend the
seminar. Fellow students and our Evangelism professor were stunned. We lamented
and prayed for the United States. That day our chapel service turned to a
prayer meeting as we were calling on God for His divine intervention and
protection on our nation. How could people do such heinous evil and savage act
and still maintain that they were fighting holy war on behalf of
"Allah." This is one of the striking differences between Christianity
and Islam. Our prayer is that such barbaric and ruthless act would not happen
to the United States again. Meanwhile, let's draw closer to Jesus Christ the
Healer and Mender of broken lives. My condolence goes to families, friends, and
coworkers who would relive the horrors of this day of infamy.
